The Northamptonshire Adult Learning Service is looking for inspirational tutors to deliver learning to adults, across Northamptonshire.
We have some rewarding and exciting opportunities available to work as a casual tutor delivering a variety of courses. If you have a passion for teaching and believe in helping adults achieve their life goals and creating an exciting learning experience by inspiring and motivating our learners, we would be interested to hear from you. What will you be doing?
Responsible for the facilitation of learning and skill development of learners in various subjects and areas of knowledge. To create engaging lesson plans, deliver instruction tailored to diverse learning styles and levels, and assess students' progress. To adapt teaching methods accordingly and implement support measures. Responsible for the completion of all tutor activity including individual learning plans, progression, administration and other associated activities. Additionally provide support and encouragement to learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to personal growth and achievement, while also promoting lifelong learning and empowerment within their adult student community.
About you
A level 3 teaching qualification is preferred; however, we are looking for passionate and experienced people in their field and we will support individuals in achieving their Level 3 Award in Teaching and Education where required. We would also expect candidates to hold a relevant qualification in their specialist area e.g. for English candidate must hold a minimum of Lv2 English
You will be an organised, positive, enthusiastic, friendly individual who has education and achievement at the heart of your professionalism. You will want to thrive for the best outcomes for your learners to ensure they successfully reach their goals and aims. You will ideally have experience of teaching accredited and/or well-being programmes. You will take an imaginative and innovative approach to your teaching duties to engage and support your learners to succeed and gain the skills needed to interact confidently within a community, education or work setting. You will be resilient and work positively and effectively as part of a successful team.
