About the role

You will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of a wide range of  change and improvement projects in Adults Health Partnerships and Housing directorate.

What will you be doing?

Project Planning and management - understand all activities, phases, responsibilities and interdependencies and document them in plan to act as a foundation for coordination and management

Stakeholder management - Develop effective relationships with stakeholders and partners both internal and external to the Authority.


Risk & Issue Management – develop, manage and monitor the project risk and issues register ensuring that the risks are costed and mitigated to the lowest possible level that the Authority can accept.


Governance – Create and present highlight reports, including risks, issues and mitigations to the Change Improvement and Delivery  Board and briefings for Strategic Management personnel
Driving Delivery – Through the clear communication of expectations, scope, allocation and resources. Where possible facilitate activities to support the various teams in achieving their tasks.
Leadership – Share the vision, empower the team, encourage collaboration, open communication and learning across the project team
 

About you

The successful candidate will be agile and flexible enough to adapt ensuring the project has flexibility within its parameters to allow for change should the strategy, regulations or outcome require change during the delivery of the project.

You will be educated to degree level or with equivalent experience and have a relevant project management qualification or equivalent alongside knowledge and experience of working with a project management environment.

Local authority or public sector experience is key particularly to provide a knowledge of elements such as governance, approvals and procurement processes.  

Knowledge of either Adults Social Care or Local Authority Housing responsibilities are desirable.  Experience of transformation in a public sector environment is ideal.
