About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 9 month secondment into a Project Manager role, delivering the Adults Health Partnerships and Housing transformation programme.

This role will work across Adults Health Partnerships and Housing service teams to design and deliver change and transformation projects that are crucial to the business of services.  Projects that are part of the programme now and in the future include the implementation of a Housing Strategy, Review of Adults Social Care Day Services Operations, implementing major IT changes like new case management systems, and work with partner organisations to review out of hours service provision. 

The role will involve working in a fast paced environment, leading the project design and delivery requirements on a large number of complex projects, producing business case reports for governance, managing risks and issues, project planning and  providing updates on progress and issues around projects in the programme with Senior Responsible Officers across the directorate.

What will you be doing?

A key part of this role is overseeing the progress of projects in the Adults Health Partnerships and Housing programme, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic objectives of the Council and the directorate, and diagnosing and unblocking risks and issues which affect the projects.

You will need to prioritise your own workload and building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, especially Senior Responsible Officers will be key.

The person in this role will also be working alongside an expert team of other Project Managers and Change and Engagement Manager, and Project Support Officers.

About you

You will be an existing NNC employee, who is ready to take a step up into the role.  This is a development opportunity, so you’ll be keen to learn and grow, and you might not yet be the finished article.

You should have some experience and knowledge about project management, and be able to provide valuable contributions to delivering the programme of work.  

You should be highly organised, thrive on challenge, be flexible and have the ability to develop positive and constructive relationships with service managers and subject matter experts.
