About the role

This 12 month fixed term role is a unique opportunity to concentrate on key projects relating to air quality. Key strategic actions have been collated to look a wide number of projects that have air quality at their core

What will you be doing?

This is a project officer role that requires an experienced professional with considerable air quality knowledge and understanding. North Northamptonshire Council has no Air Quality Management Areas in place and our aim is to deliver on a number of projects to help improve the air quality in the area, including submitting funding bids to DEFRA and developing consistent air quality measures across council wide strategies and policies. The post holder will be expected to work with a number of internal and external partners, including the equivalent post at West Northamptonshire Council.

About you

You will be a highly organised and experienced air quality professional with strong communication and engagement skills. The role has a number of key strategic projects that need to be delivered, therefore a flexible approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, is essential.
