About the role
We need an Applications Support Officer looking to join a great team that provides mapping and gazetteer support to North Northamptonshire Council.
The ideal candidate will preferably be able to create and maintain GIS data, update the Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and assist with developing our online mapping systems. You will also help colleagues in delivering key ICT projects across the organisation. There will be lots of opportunities for exciting development work.
What will you be doing?
We need someone who can work across North Northamptonshire - with experience of ESRI ArcGIS/ ArcMap and Geodatabases being preferable. Any experience in maintaining gazetteers would be desirable, as would knowledge of the IDOX uniform system.
About you
The best person for the job will always start with the customers' needs and looks for ways to improve how we do things. A fast learner would also be great, but training is available where required.
We value flexible working and work-life balance, and you will have opportunities to work from home when possible. However, you will also need to provide support to systems throughout the authority and may be required to work across North Northamptonshire, so having the ability to travel between sites is important.
