About the role
North Northamptonshire Council are currently seeking applications from ambitious and motivated individuals to work at Corby East Midlands International Pool.
This is an exciting opportunity to come and work at our fantastic facility that include a 50m swimming pool, diving pool, 70 station gym, exercise studio, health suite and creche.
The successful applicant will ideally hold a Level 2 Diving Coach qualification.
You will have the opportunity to develop your career by undertaking NVQ qualifications level 1 to 3 in areas such as gym instruction, level 1 and 2 aquatic qualifications and entry level management qualifications.
What will you be doing?
- The delivery of diving lessons, working towards the Swim England - Learn to Dive awards Level 1-6 and coaching our Corby Steel Diving Club squad members.
- Ensure an excellent standard of customer care is implemented and maintained in line with the Customer Care Policy
- Operate mechanical equipment within the facility e.g. moveable floor, booms, diving boards in accordance with operational procedures and programme requirements
- Comply with the Councils Health and Safety Policy.
- Positively promote the facility through membership sales, leaflets, displays, general daily duties and any such promotional activities Specific Responsibilities
About you
We need you to
- Ensure the general safety and behaviour of the classes to prevent injury, misuse and damage to themselves, others or to the equipment.
- Deliver excellent customer care.
- Deliver diving lessons and coach club squad sessions.
- Take registers and assessments on the tablet devices. Preparing session plans (where necessary).
- Keeping schemes of work (where appropriate)
- Be a team player and effective communicator.
- Support our varied program of activities and sessions.
