The Development Liaison Team brings together the Council’s highway advice, highway adoption and highway agreement services supported by our partners in Kier Highways, this small but dedicated team needs you to meet the challenges ahead.

What will you be doing?
The Assistant Highway Development Liaison Engineer sits within the Development Liaison team of the Councils Highways and Waste services which brings together the Council’s highway advice, highway adoption and highway agreement services supported by our partners in Kier Highways. This small but highly effective and dedicated team needs additional support to continue to provide the high quality highway advice to our planning colleagues, elected Members, the public and developers. The post holder will support our highway advice service considering and responding to planning applications that affect the roads in our area as well as our team that considers and facilitates the adoption of new roads.
About you
Are you our new Assistant Development Liaison Engineer supporting the team and the Council to make sure that the impacts of new development is mitigated or inappropriate development is resisted?
You will have a high standard of education preferably at Degree level with a keenness to learn new skills, technical and legal processes that underpin modern development engineering.
