What will you be doing?

Principal responsibilities  

 Lead, motivate and support the Help Desk team including Help Desk Supervisor.  Staff management, reviewing the service looking for improvements, ensuring 24 hour service for help desk.

Supporting the HOS with business continuity plan, maintaining and updating as required.

 Corporate accounting reconciliation – budget manager for corporate operational accounts including hard and soft, energy and Childrens Trust.  Liasing with other service managers on budgets and expenditure.   Monthly monitoring to ensure they understand budgets and identify any pressures.  Work with budget managers and HOS to mitigate pressures.

Management of Senior Accounts Officer.

Budget manager for Childrens Trust Account.  To ensure charges coded to account, supporting HOS with reconciliation of account and change process, ie monitoring services against contract/SLA, variations to be requested as part of the contractual change process.  Attending regular SLAmonitoring meetings with NCT and liaise with NNC Children’s Services regarding NCT budget

 Supporting with the establishment of an Operations Intranet Page and where applicable external website contents.  Developing user guides, including booking systems for conference facilities, linkages to H&S information, office information such as opening hours, reporting issues etc transition to a central web site for Operations.

 Manage all Energy Contracts for NNC, providing data on useage and being part of the team delivery Net Carbon Zero Targets.   Attending monthly meeting with energy provider and disseminating key information.

Supporting Assets and Environment with the carbon neutral plan. Ensuring that risks are evaluated and managed, within the legal framework and the wider organisational context whilst supporting service outcomes.

To ensure that there is effective and timely forecasting and analysis of business and financial data to enable robust budget management and budget planning, minimising financial risks, and maximising potential efficiencies. ,

Contribute as part of the management team to corporate strategies and policies, including implementing the Asset Management Plan, and working with colleagues in other directorates and partner organisations.

 Provide professional and managerial support to, and work with the Head of Service to develop strategies and plans that identify and recommend improvements that transform service delivery to ensure long term management of the service is sustainable in terms of meeting legislative obligations, financial constraints and key performance targets.

 Produce effective and efficient customer reporting tools and documents that demonstrate and promote the value of the service. Maintain systems to inform and receive feedback (including complaints and suggestions) from customers, partners, suppliers, stakeholders and employees; and to evaluate that feedback through the assessment of "lessons learned" in order to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of the service. Ensure that customer-focus and best value is promoted as a core value.
