Business Support Officer

Your differences make us different - #achievetogether

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Learning Disabilities Team as a Business Support Officer.  You will be required to carry out specific administration tasks in order to support the professionals in a busy team.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate good communication skills and be confident on the telephone. You will have a good level of IT skills with a sound knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel and have a good attention to detail. The successful candidate will be organised and be able to use their own initiative. We need someone who is able to work under pressure and to deadlines and who is friendly and reliable.

The main duties of the role are answering the phone, entering data on the database, maintaining spreadsheets and taking minutes at meetings.  Support will be given on all aspects of the role from both team members and the other BSO’s within other Adult Social Care teams.

As the sole BSO within the team, your role is critical.  However, we have a network of BSO’s within other teams who all support each other.

We have good training opportunities and you will be working within a supportive and friendly team.

The salary for this role is £25,119 pro rata and will be based in Thrapston/Wellingborough.

We offer a wide range of benefits to our employees including:

  • 28 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time employees), plus bank holidays, increasing to 33 after 5 years’ continuous service.

  • Local Government Pension Scheme plus immediate life cover (3 times your annual salary from day one) and ill-health protection.

  • Employee discounts with local and national retailers, days out, finance, health and beauty, travel and eating out plus lots more.

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.

  • Free on-site parking

If you would like to discuss the role further, please contact Ben Marks 07920 361823.
