About the role
Our Country Parks and Woodland team manage five country parks across North Northamptonshire as well as looking after Corby’s Ancient Woodlands. We work to create spaces where flora and fauna can thrive and people can enjoy the environment, learn about nature as well as improving mental and physical health.
We are recruiting our casual education rangers to help us with increased visitor numbers to ensure we have capacity to deliver our services.
What will you be doing?
We are looking to recruit casual Education Rangers to join our friendly team that delivers outdoor learning sessions to schools and groups visiting our country parks across North Northants. Helping to promote environmental awareness as well as the physical and mental benefits of engaging with nature.
About you
You must have a genuine enthusiasm for this kind of work along with excellent communication skills. Some experience delivering activity sessions and a reasonable general knowledge of natural history are essential whilst formal teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
This is casual work with no guaranteed hours and will therefore involve working flexibly and in all weathers. The amount of work will vary depending on the number of school/group bookings and although we offer a service all year, the bulk of the demand is from April to July.
