About the role

As a Gym Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fitness instruction to our members. Your key responsibilities will include conducting fitness assessments, creating personalised workout plans, providing guidance on proper exercise techniques, and maintaining a clean and safe gym environment. You will play a crucial role in motivating members, helping them achieve their fitness goals, and ensuring they have a positive experience at our facility.

What will you be doing?

  • Evaluating the fitness levels of new members and creating personalised workout plans based on their goals and abilities.
  • Offering professional advice on proper exercise techniques and equipment usage to ensure members perform exercises safely and effectively.
  • Ensuring the gym and equipment are clean, organised, and in good working condition.
  • Encouraging and supporting members to stay committed to their fitness goals and providing the necessary motivation to help them succeed.
  • Conducting small group training sessions and classes when Qualified.
  • Interacting with members, addressing any questions or concerns, and providing a welcoming and supportive environment.

About you

  • You must have a Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification.
  • You must have a Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification desirable but non-essential.
  • You must have an Exercise Referral Qualification desirable but non-essential.
  • Previous experience in a gym instructor role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of fitness principles, exercise techniques, and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and engage members, and capable of providing modifications for varying fitness levels.
  • Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic about fitness, with a genuine interest in helping others achieve their fitness goals.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, share best practices, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
