About the role
Our Country Parks and Woodland team manage five country parks across North Northamptonshire as well as looking after Corby’s Ancient Woodlands. We work to create spaces where flora and fauna can thrive and people can enjoy the environment, learn about nature as well as improving mental and physical health.
Every year we recruit our seasonal and casual team to help us with increased visitor numbers over the summer months to ensure we have capacity to deliver our services.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking casual Rangers to work in the Country Parks helping visitors to enjoy their experience, ensuring the facilities are clean and tidy and assisting with smooth running of the park. Including working with park volunteers.
Casual positions have no guaranteed hours and will therefore involve working flexibly and in all weathers.
About you
It is essential that you can work weekends and bank holidays. It is equally important that you have the ability to work independently using your initiative and in all weathers. You will need some practical estate skills; knowledge of recreation/countryside issues; as well as previous experience of working or volunteering in a customer focused industry where you will have developed customer service skills.
