About the role
We are seeking a reliable and conscientious Cleaner to join our team and support the efficient operation of the facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and customer care across public and staff areas.
Carry out a full range of cleaning duties including washing, scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing, dusting, and emptying litter bins across all designated areas.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in public and staff areas, including changing rooms, toilets, and general-use rooms, in line with Health & Safety regulations.
Operate cleaning machinery and powered equipment where appropriate, following training and safety guidelines.
Conduct routine inspections of facilities and promptly report any defects, damage, or maintenance issues observed during duties.
Maintain cleaning stores and equipment in accordance with COSHH regulations and good housekeeping standards.
Ensure excellent standards of customer care are delivered and maintained, in line with the Customer Care Policy and Customer Charter.
Positively promote the facility through a professional, helpful, and proactive approach during daily duties.
Support the maintenance of standards and records required for relevant Quality Awards, particularly QUEST.
Comply fully with the Council’s Health & Safety Policy and all relevant procedures.
Undertake any additional duties related to the effective operation of the facility, as directed by the Facility Manager or Duty Manager.
