About the role
One of the key priorities within Adult Social Care in North Northamptonshire, is to develop true and meaningful co-production.
There is a difference between co-production and involvement: involvement means being consulted, while co-production means being equal partners and co-creators.
Could you be our new Co- Production Officer?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Commissioning and Performance Team, to lead on co-production and other engagement work. We are looking for someone who is:
- friendly
- keen to meet and talk to people
- able to engage with people, carers, and families
- an excellent communicator
- able to capture the views of others and analyse them in a meaningful way
What will you be doing?
The post holder will:
- understand co-production best practice and the benefits of working in this way
- be able to provide feedback to inform various projects, activities. strategies and policies
- lead on the development and implementation of a comprehensive participation and engagement strategy across Adult Social Care
- be able to lead and facilitate one-to-one and group sessions.
- be able to prepare reports and make recommendations to update and advise colleagues
- identify gaps in participation and engagement within Adult Social Care
- influence and encourage engagement and commitment of all relevant partners
- develop an Expert by Experience data base
- map co production work across North Northamptonshire
- raise awareness of co-production throughout the Council
About you
The candidate will have:
- experience of working, with minimal supervision, in a developmental role
- excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and to prioritise workloads with tight and conflicting deadlines with minimum supervision
- brilliant interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written / presentation and listening, with the ability to build effective relationships within and outside of the organisation
- experience of collecting, collating, analysing, and presenting information in a meaningful way
- excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and groups
- experience of engaging people who might have previously found it hard to take part in activities, and access services and support
