About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Curriculum Coordinator to join the Northamptonshire Adult Learning Service. The role involves overseeing operational course management within a designated area, focusing on ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). This includes comprehensive responsibilities such as resource allocation, curriculum planning, development, design, delivery, quality improvement initiatives, and providing essential learner support and guidance.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage and optimise resource allocation for ESOL courses.
  • Lead curriculum planning, development, design, and delivery in alignment with educational standards and learner needs.
  • Implement quality improvement measures to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to learners to foster academic success and personal development.
  • Identify opportunties for growth based on local, regional and national need. 
  • Please note: thre is a minimum of 200 annual teaching hours (contact hours) for full-time roles, pro rata for fractional positions.

About you

  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Formal teaching qualification to minimum of Level 5, or willing to obtain in a specified timescale.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Hold a Lv2 qualification in ICT or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards.
  • Experience in coordinating, developing and delviering educational programs or projects.
