About the role
As Food and Beverage Team member, you will assist with food preparation, maintaining a clean environment, facilitating the safe production of beverages and meals in support of the golf course team, ensuring a high-quality and comprehensive service is delivered to all customers. You will ideally hold a Food Hygiene Certificate, alongside experience within a catering environment.
The post is 25 hours a week on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, with the option of overtime as and when required. The successful candidate will be required to work a combination of weekdays and weekends.
We are undertaking consultation with the Trade Unions on terms and conditions and the future NNC pay structure and during this time are appointing new employees on interim spot salaries. You will be advised of the outcome and any impact on your role once this work is complete.
What will you be doing?
Roles and Responsibilities include;
- Ensure that the highest standards of hospitality are demonstrated at all times
- Take orders and payment from customers ensuring that proper identification is received to serve alcoholic beverages when required
- Always respond to customers in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Clear tables and ensure the catering areas remain clean and tidy at all times, following sanitation procedures.
- Cook food by various methods, ovens, grillers, fryers and microwaves.
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Ensure kitchen and bar areas are kept to a high level of cleanliness and orderly environment, ensuring all food and other items are stored properly
About you
North Northants Council are currently recruiting for an ambitious and committed team player to join us as Food and Beverage Team Member at one of our leisure facilities, Priors Hall Golf Course.
A background in the hospitality industry is desirable but not essential, full training will be given. The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, have a flexible approach and be capable of working in a busy environment.
