As Head of Access and Sufficiency, you will lead the strategic planning and delivery of school places, admissions, and capital investment—ensuring every child can thrive in a great school, close to home. 

What will you be doing?

What You’ll Lead: 

  • Strategic education place planning for mainstream and special education 
  • Commissioning and delivery of capital schemes, including SEND provision 
  • School admissions and the establishment of new schools 
  • Innovative partnerships and funding strategies to expand and enhance provision 

What You’ll Champion: 

  • Compassionate, inclusive leadership that empowers teams and communities
  • A culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high performance
  • Equity, diversity, and inclusion at every level of service delivery
  • Financial stewardship of a £30m capital budget, driving value and impact


About you

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Proven senior leadership experience in complex, dynamic environments 
  • Strategic vision and political acumen to influence and inspire 
  • A deep understanding of education legislation, place planning, and infrastructure 
  • The ability to lead transformational change and build strong partnerships 

We’re looking for someone who leads by example, embraces challenge, and is driven by a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
