About the role
North Northants Council’s Technology, Digital, and Data service is seeking a talented and dedicated Application Support Officer to join our hardworking and ambitious team.
Within our education area, we are beginning the process of replacing the core case management solutions, which presents exciting opportunities to play a key role in actively supporting and implementing these systems. The role of Application Support Officer will be one of the primary points of support for the new systems. While a strong knowledge of ICT and some experience in a technology environment is preferred, we are interested in individuals who are passionate about technology and customer service, and who are eager to make a difference and enjoy learning new skills and taking on challenges. What will you be doing?
This is an excellent opportunity to support and shape, new case management systems for the Council during implementation.
Your main responsibility will be supporting ongoing importing of data from our current system into the new education system. This involves working on the Test and Live environments, exporting and importing mappings, record matching sets, and rules to ensure accurate data in the system. You will additionally support the implementation, data quality, system user acceptance testing and records retention. You will also be providing support to the new Planning/ Regulatory Services case management system.
You will be supported by the Senior Applications Support officer to promote best practices and administer specific application systems.
Additionally, your responsibilities will also include troubleshooting issues, resolving users’ queries, and supporting the effective functioning of our systems.
About you
We are seeking a dynamic individual committed to providing excellent application support across North Northamptonshire. Experience in local authority systems would be desirable.
You should possess excellent accuracy, attention to detail, communication skills and be customer focused.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organised, and capable of working in a Time Critical environment. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities.
