About the role
The newly formed North Northants Council's, Tech, Digital and Data service is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join us on the Service Delivery Team.
As part of the Service Delivery Team you'll be working in a dynamic and challenging environment, supporting approximately 3000 staff across sites in Corby, Kettering, Thrapston, Wellingborough as well as remote users. Our customers perform a wide variety of services to the local peoples of North Northamptonshire, and their support is led by the technology platforms you'll help support.
We're looking for a team player to take ownership of calls and support for the user base, provide a point of escalation and assistance to other colleagues on the Service Delivery Team, happy to chip in and help. Every day will be a new challenge and experience in a growing Council IT service and a growing Service Delivery team, enthusiasm for the role and a desire to learn and assist the user base will take a willing candidate far.
Still early into its infancy, North Northants Council and the Tech, Digital and Data team, means you'll be joining as the Council and team grow and change into a new unified service as part of an exciting and evolving journey.
What will you be doing?
As a 2nd Line IT Support Analyst your role will be to provide technical support to the user base for Incidents and Requests, to be a point of escalation and provide a supportive role to 1st Line Analysts as well as other colleagues. You will also be involved in on-going project works across the Council, including working with colleagues in the Infrastructure, Applications and Cyber Security team.
You will be attending varying sites across the Council, assisting the user base across Phone, In-person and via our varying digital/ticket platforms. From software installations, hardware installs and repairs, you'll also get involved in the Council's Hybrid-meeting equipment, supporting users across different network configurations, domains and system applications, including Microsoft 365 - all whilst maintaining a high level of customer care and professionalism.
This role will be dynamic and have you dealing with a wide range of systems, for which we will provide training and support to you as you gain confidence and experience in the role.
We value flexible working and work-life balance and you will have opportunities to work from home when appropriate, however this role is customer facing with support required for on-site staff between team members and sites at all times.
