Drive Digital Transformation Across North Northamptonshire Council

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Technology Adoption Lead to help maximise the value of our technology investments and drive organisation-wide digital enablement.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence how colleagues across the Council use technology, improve digital confidence, and lead the adoption and optimisation of corporate systems mainly Microsoft 365. The role sits within our IT Service Delivery function and plays a key part in supporting organisational transformation, service improvement and modern ways of working.

What You'll Be Doing

You will:

  • Lead the adoption, optimisation and continuous improvement of corporate IT systems (M365)
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and service areas on how technology can improve efficiency, productivity and service outcomes.
  • Design and deliver organisation-wide digital enablement and adoption programmes.
  • Build strong working relationships with the Council's Training Team, ensuring technology adoption initiatives are aligned with wider organisational learning and development programmes.
  • Champion Microsoft 365 and wider enterprise applications to maximise business value.
  • Support service improvement and digital transformation initiatives across the Council.
  • Establish a M365 Super User network throughout the Council
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, suppliers and service teams to deliver positive outcomes. 


About you

About You

We are looking for an experienced digital professional who can combine technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement and organisational change expertise.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate substantial experience of leading technology adoption, digital enablement, Microsoft 365 optimisation, organisational change or enterprise application improvement within a complex organisation. Experience of influencing senior stakeholders and delivering measurable improvements in technology usage and user engagement is essential.

You will have:

  • Significant experience leading technology adoption, digital enablement or enterprise application improvement programmes within a medium or large organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering successful Microsoft 365 adoption, user engagement, training or change initiatives.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving behavioural and organisational change.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, digital workplace technologies and modern ways of working.
  • Experience using data, insights and user feedback to improve technology adoption and service outcomes.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL service management practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. 

Desirable

  • Experience within Local Government, the wider public sector or a large multi-service organisation.
  • Experience of digital transformation programmes.
  • ITIL 4 qualification.
  • Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric or related certifications
