About the role

We are looking for an interim Director of Public Health and Wellbeing for a period of up to 6 months.

The role will play a key part of our Corporate Leadership team and will be responsible for leading the Public Health teams.  The post holder will be the principal adviser on all health matters to elected members, officers, and partners, with a leadership role spanning health improvement, health protection and healthcare public health.

 

 

What will you be doing?

The interim Director will help shape the service going forward until a permanent Director of Public Health and Wellbeing is appointed. The role will support in the transition of the team to the newly agreed structure, following both the disaggregation from West Northamptonshire and a move towards a more holistic approach to Health and Wellbeing through the addition of Leisure and Communities, once the permanent Director is in place.  

About you

We are looking for someone with significant Senior experience within Public Health with the ability to lead a team and help create a clear Public Health vision.  Please note this role is open to internal candidates/current agency workers only.
