About the role
We have recently launched our One Council Programme which you will spearhead, ensuring that we have an engagement plan that inspires colleagues, potential recruits and elected members and that we have assurance over the progress of the key milestones. Our Big 50 Vision work is at a key point, we have created an Engagement and Strategy Plan which now needs to be implemented with some quick wins needed over the next few months as we move into our place leadership role. Our work with our strategic partner on ambition setting is also reaching a pivotal point which will lead to an agreed transformation plan which will support our financial sustainability; this needs to be driven and linked with our budget setting process for 2025/26. We are entering a crucial time for the new government, and we want to be at the forefront and raising our profile to get funding and opportunities, so horizon scanning, understanding the agenda and ensuring that we are identifying opportunities will be essential in the next few months.
