About the role

This role is currently aimed at working within our Adult Learning programme across the county of Northamptonshire, although there may be the need for supporting within our 16 - 19 provision in North Northamptonshire.  Flexibility of work base (within Northamptonshire) and working hours will be considered.  

The person in this role will be working with teaching staff and other professionals to support learners with SEND to ensure everyone has equal access to education and opportunities to achieve.

What will you be doing?

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with support requirements and SEND, both in the classroom and in other learning environments.

Assist students with completing tasks, understanding instructions, and accessing learning materials, adapting support strategies as necessary to meet individual needs.

Support students in managing their behaviour and developing social and emotional skills, promoting positive relationships and interactions.

Provide individualised support for students with specific support needs, ensuring dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.

 

We are looking for someone with experience of working with young people or adults with special education needs or disabilities as well as a person centred attitude, who can develop positive relationships with both learners and teaching staff.

The successful applicant will be required to travel to various Adult Learning sites across Northamptonshire to provide support as required.  Flexibility of work base and hours will be considered.
