About the role

This role is suitable for an experienced licensing enforcement officer. It is a 6 month fixed term contract initially based in Corby but this is subject to review. The role will cover many aspects of licensing enforcement including Licensing Act 2003 and Taxis and the postholder will be expected to have a knowledge of relevant legislation. You are expected to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work on your own initiative. What will you be doing?

You will be investigating licensing complaints, visiting licensed premises and monitoring licensed taxis and private hire vehicles. You will be recommending action for non compliances.

You are expected to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work on your own initiative. You will understand the legal processes relating to Licensing and be able to communicate these at an appropriate level to our customers. You will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to be able to carry out your duties. There may be some requirement for out of hours working.
