About the role
This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the Council's Never Give Up team having secured funding from Government through the Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme to provide move-on homes to help reduce rough sleeping in North Northamptonshire. Our portfolio of RSAP properties provide settled supported accommodation to our cohort of individuals who have experienced rough sleeping on an entrenched basis and who have often experienced trauma leading to complex support needs.
We are therefore looking to recruit a dedicated and motivated individual to provide a seamless tenancy support service to rough sleepers accommodated via this programme.
Please note this post is fixed term for one year with the possibility for extension dependent on external grant funding.
What will you be doing?
You will be working across North Northamptonshire to provide support and assistance to people with complex needs who have experienced rough sleeping and multiple exclusion homelessness accommodated in the Never Give Up provision, upholding Housing First principles, and achieve move on in accordance with service timescales.
About you
You will have experience of working in a support role, including assessment, support planning and advocacy and an ability to work with vulnerable people with complex needs.
Working effectively as part of a team and with the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and service users, you will be able to work well under your own initiative and prioritise your workload.
To succeed in the role, you must be focused on achieving positive outcomes, have excellent communication skills and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
