About the role

This is an exciting new position to help support, develop and strengthen the Council’s Rough Sleeping Service funded by the Government’s Rough Sleeping Initiative (RSI).  The role will be key in helping to shape the service moving forward, ensuring efficient use of resources, and linking into the wider strategic direction of the housing service.

Please note based on external funding this post is fixed term until the end of March 2025.

What will you be doing?

Working closely with the Rough Sleeping Team, Housing Policy Performance Manager and Strategic Lead for Housing Strategy and Solutions you will lead on and ensure there is regular investment in partnership development to support operational efforts to ensure that rough sleeping is rare, brief, and non-recurring across North Northamptonshire.

You will also facilitate and support the Council to develop the rough sleeping pathway through service user involvement, robust performance and financial management and service monitoring along with contributing to the delivery of the North Northamptonshire Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy, and associated partnership forum.

About you

You will have experience of monitoring service performance, action planning, developing, and supporting effective partnership working and have a good understanding of homelessness and rough sleeping services.

With excellent communication and organisational skills and a proven ability to be proactive, you will be flexible in your approach and achieve positive outcomes through using your own initiative or collaboratively with others.
