About the role
North Northamptonshire Business Centres are seeking to recruit a Senior Accounts Officer to join the Business Centres Team.
The role of the Senior Accounts Officer is to support in the provision of high quality financial administration within the Business Centres team.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual and relish challenges to continually improve the way we work through the best use of our shared services systems, processes and values.
What will you be doing?
The Senior Accounts Officer will primarily be responsible for ensuring compliance with Council Standing Orders, Financial Rules and Procurement practice. To act in accordance with Financial Regulations ensuring fairness and best value is achieved.
You will support the Management team in relation to the Accountancy functions which include:
- Raising rental & sundry invoices for the business centres.
- Assisting in monthly budget management meeting.
- Debt management.
- Supporting the balance sheet monitoring, reconciliations and reporting.
- Assist year end preparation.
About you
You will be educated to AAT Qualified (or recognised professional accounting qualification) level and have a strong background in finiacial services.
You will ideally have a working knowledge of public sector and Local Government.
