About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our Building Control & Local Land Charges team at North Northamptonshire Council.

What will you be doing?

You will be required to assess applications for compliance with the building regulations, carry out daily site inspections, answer technical queries, investigate dangerous structures reports, mentor junior surveyors, and keep accurate records in accordance with professional codes of conduct and building control performance standards. You will have demonstrable experience in a Building Control capacity working with domestic, residential, and commercial projects.

About you

This role will suit an experienced building control surveyor who enjoys working to deadlines within a busy, team environment, has an eye for detail, is organised, accurate, and analytical in their work.

This role will primarily be based out of our Kettering office however we support hybrid working arrangements. You may occasionally be required to work from our other North Northamptonshire offices (Corby, Wellingborough, Thrapston).
