About the role

We are very proud of our business analyst team in NNC.  They do excellent work across the Council supporting a wide range of different projects across all our service areas.  We are now looking for a Senior Business Analyst to manage the team and work allocation, and act as a professional lead for business analysis in the organisation. This role is open to internal NNC candidates only.

What will you be doing?

The role will involve:

- Line managing a team of five business analysts, including setting appraisal objectives, supporting and coaching

- Triaging and managing requests for support from Programme Managers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders across the organisation, prioritising with respect to the organisational strategy, and working with the business analyst team to allocate the work appropriately

- Identifying and implementing ways of integrating the business analysis function closely with similar and related performance and data analysis functions

- Acting as a professional lead for business analysis tools, approaches and techniques

- Leading on some business analysis projects 

About you

We are looking for someone with a strong track record of high quality business analysis work, excellent organisational skills, and a good understanding of 'big picture' strategy so they can identify how requests for project work translate into priorities for the business analysis team and negotiate resource allocation with stakeholders.  They should also be a supportive and encouraging line manager, able to work closely with team members to enable them to contribute their best.
