An exciting opportunity to join the Learning and Development Adult team has arisen to support with our growing programme of learning and development activities across all teams in Northamptonshire North Adults, Health Partnerships and Housing (AHP and H) Directorate

What will you be doing?

We are looking for professionals seeking opportunities to have a real impact on a number of projects that we have planned over the next months. The role includes supporting and developing best practice solutions using in-house and external capability that supports the common programme and specialist areas, such as social care or new ways of working. We are also encouraging applicants with other relevant experience in working within Adult Social Care, Housing, Health and Communities and Leisure, Children’s Education services, Occupational Therapy

Working with our friendly, helpful team to deliver and to fully coordinate and manage the design, delivery and evaluation of learning and development activities in particular:

Lead an increasing demand for development and delivery to professional development programmes

Lead and manage projects

Line manage and support the growth of team members

Training design and delivery to front line staff and their Seniors across a range of practice areas for Adult social work / care teams / Housing and Community Leisure such as:

Supervision for Supervisors

Mental Capacity Act Advanced Practice and for Decision Makers

Care Act – Assessment Skills, Report Writing and Recording and Analysis and Reflection

Safeguarding Level 3

Support with anticipated legal changes to practice and will need to coordinate new programmes of training across the workforce to ensure that practice by staff is safe, legal and sustainable

We are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified person to work closely with teams, individuals and specific roles within the Council from our Adults, Health Partners and Housing Teams.

You will have;

Excellent communication skills and be able to build a strong rapport with our learners

A self-starter who is willing to get stuck in and be proactive and can think creatively

Good working knowledge of managing change and be positive to new ideas and problem solving

Ability and experience of the full learning cycle as well as supporting learners individually

Understand what is needed to manage projects from inception to delivery

Working with team managers and delivering on projects associated within adult social work and/or adult social care

The ability to ensure a quality service is delivered to learners, that NNC policies and values are complied with and reporting deadlines are met.
