About the role
We are looking for a talented individual to join North Northamptonshire Council’s as a Senior Transport Planner. Sitting within the Highways service of our Place & Economy directorate, the role forms part of our Transport Strategy team. Working with our public transport and sustainable transport officers, you will be developing the policies, strategies and investment schemes to enable the Council to meet its aspirations for improving transport facilities while facing the challenge of a climate emergency.
What will you be doing?
You will form part of the team developing North Northamptonshire’s first Local Transport Plan, along with other transport strategies. You will provide transport advice to assist in the preparation of Local Plans and help to develop the highway and transport improvement schemes that will shape North Northamptonshire’s future.
About you
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have transport planning or policy experience, along with the ability to deliver projects and work in partnership and as part of a project team. Experience of working on transport projects, strategy development or contributing to a Local Plan will also be useful, as will project or financial management skills.
