About the role

Seeking a new challenge which will see you helping to support the development of our place-based community delivery programme?  Then North Northamptonshire Council has a great opportunity for you to join us as an Administrator within our Stronger Communities Place Team.  The team provides a range of projects that build strong partnerships with communities, agencies and services, empowering communities to identify and stimulate community responses to local issues with a particular emphasis on developing community capacity to improve health and wellbeing outcomes and develop their local area into the place they want it to be.

What will you be doing?

As the Stronger Communities Administrator you will provide effective administration support to the Place-based delivery programme across North Northamptonshire.  You will also assist the Stronger Communities (Business) Manager and Head of Service with routine administrative and operational tasks, including record keeping associated with, for example, Freedom of Information requests and Member enquiries. 

About you

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Administrator with drive, initiative and confidence.  Reporting to the Stronger Communities (Business) Manager you will provide effective administration support to the Place-based delivery programme across North Northamptonshire.  This is a role which will require you to work with directorates throughout the Council and beyond, including community groups and organisations, and voluntary sector partners.

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

  • excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • experience of working without supervision and under pressure
  • outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • an abundance of drive and determination

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • experience of working within public sector and working with community groups and organisations, as well as voluntary sector partners.

Where you will be working:

The team are based in Kettering working from Sheerness House.
