About the role
Northamptonshire Adult Learning Service are looking to recruit an inspiring and enthusiastic Substantive Teacher to join our Study Programme provision
What will you be doing?
The aim of our study programme is to reduce the number of NEETs across North Northamptonshire, by offering a suitable but alternative provision to the traditional post 16 education pathways. You will play a key role in managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities for a group of learners from initial interview and assessment through to successful completion of the course and accreditation.
Working alongside the Curriculum Coordinator, to design and delivery on a range of accredited qualification that engage and motivate young people to progress and achieve; from entry level to level 2 qualifications.
About you
- A recognised vocational qualification at Level 3 or above
- A recognised teaching qualification equivalent to Level 3 or be willing to work towards one within the first 12 months of appointment
- Experience of teaching young people ages 16-19 (with EHCP)
- Ability to use relevant teaching and assessment materials and techniques to support learning. Including the use of e-learning technology
- Be flexible to travel to different venues
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal and presentation)
- Ability to organise, plan, deliver and record accurate records to support learning
