About the role
Northamptonshire Adult Learning Service are looking to recruit an inspiring and enthusiastic Vocational Skills Teacher to join the Adult Learning Service delviering programmes of study to learners 16-18 and 19+.
What will you be doing?
Our Vocational Skills and Study Programme provision covers a range of introductory short courses through to accredited qualifications. You will play a key role in ensuring learners quality of education is exceptional and that they are supported to achieve and exceed their potential. Our Study Programme offers an opportunity to deliver courses to learners age 16-18 designed to build confidence and employability skills.
Working alongside the Curriculum Coordinator you will plan, deliver and assess a variety of courses. You will select appropriate resources, as well as use teaching methods and styles which promote active learning. Idealy we will be lookign for candidates who offer experience and/or skills in sectors such as Care, Edcuation, Business Adminsitration or who have experience of delivering employability qualifications.

About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised current qualification at Level 3 or above in a vocational subject
- A recognised teaching qualification equivalent to Level 3 or be willing to work towards one within the first 12 months of appointment
- A minimum of a level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- Ability to use relevant teaching and assessment materials and techniques to support learning. Including the use of e-learning technology
- Be flexible to travel to different venues
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal and presentation)
- Ability to organise, plan, deliver and record accurate records to support learning
