About the role

Northamptonshire Adult Learning Service are looking to recruit an inspiring and enthusiastic  Vocational Skills Teacher to join the Adult Skills Team.

What will you be doing?

Our  Vocational Skills provision  overs a range of introductory short courses through to accredited qualifications. You will play a key role in ensuring learners quality of education is exceptional and that they are supported to achieve and exceed their potential.

Working alongside the Curriculum Coordinator you will plan, deliver and assess a variety of  courses. You will select appropriate resources, as well as use teaching methods and styles which promote active learning.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised current qualification at Level 3 or above in a vocational subject
  • A recognised teaching qualification equivalent to Level 3 or be willing to work towards one within the first 12 months of appointment
  • Ability to use relevant teaching and assessment materials and techniques to support learning. Including the use of e-learning technology
  • Be flexible to travel to different venues
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal and presentation)
  • Ability to organise, plan, deliver and record accurate records to support learning
