About the role

An opportunity has arisen within the Housing Service  for a motivated and customer focused individual to undertake the post of Support Services Team Leader, working mainly with residents living in sheltered housing schemes in Corby.

Working closely with and reporting to the Supported Housing Manager, the purpose of the post is to ensure that effective and targeted support solutions are in operation for residents living  independently  in the council’s sheltered accommodation and customers of the dispersed alarm service.

You will share "on call" management duties with the Supported Housing Manager for which an additional payment is made along with the monthly salary. 

 

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for managing and supporting a Team of Mobile Support Workers,  Elderly Support Assistants and Scheme Cleaners who provide a dedicated support service to residents living in the councils sheltered accommodation and customers connected to out community alarm service.  

You and the team will ensure the highest level of targeted support is provided and that all customers are assisted to access the support agencies and services they are entitled to. The team also perform on call duties and are the main responders in the event of an emergency call for help or assistance. 

About you

You should enjoy working with the public and assisting residents/customers to resolve the issues they can be faced with. If you have a background in support services targeted specifically to  older persons  and have team leading/ supervisory skills  we look forward to receiving your application.

Interested applicants will have a good level of education and have experience in working with older people living  independently  with/without  support. 

If you have the relevant experience and can confidently produce written reports, develop and implement procedures in line with best practice and have supervisory experience, you may be the person we are looking for
