About the role
Are you passionate about leading a team to support others with their health by building upon sustainable long-term changes?
We are looking to recruit a Team Leader on a 4-year fixed term contract, to join the North Northamptonshire Public Health Team’s Stop Smoking Service. You will be part of our highly skilled team who are dedicated to supporting our local residents who smoke to stop smoking. This is an exciting time to lead our stop smoking service, as we have received additional funding to expand our service and support more people to quit smoking.
What will you be doing?
As the Team Leader, you will manage the operational delivery of the evidence-based Stop Smoking Service which supports clients over 12-weeks to quit smoking successfully. You will do this by managing all operational aspects of the Stop Smoking Service and leading and motivating the two Stop Smoking Specialists and six Advisors to meet service delivery targets. You will also be responsible for reviewing and upgrading the service processes to ensure service delivery in line with national guidance. You will be confident identifying and driving improvements, communicating with external health and community stakeholders and supporting targeted project work
You will report to a Public Health Practitioner and be responsible for direct line management of two Stop Smoking Specialists and a Senior Administrator.
About you
We are seeking applicants with excellent personable, operational management and motivational skills, who are passionate about supporting people to make positive change. The successful applicants will also have effective organisational and communication skills, which are essential managing a service. A willingness to undertake the relevant training will be required. Above all, we are keen to attract people who will embrace the values and behaviours of North Northamptonshire Council to support services which positively impact our clients.
This is a hybrid role with its base at Sheerness House in Kettering, with service delivery across North Northamptonshire, therefore applicants should be able to travel between locations.
