Tenancy Support Worker (Housing Support Grant)

Your differences make us different - #achievetogether

About the role

This an exciting opportunity to join the Council's Accommodation Service providing tenancy support to single homeless people living in temporary accommodation in need of or accessing treatment for drug and alcohol misuse to help them sustain their accommodation and prevent repeat homelessness.

It is not easy for people living in temporary accommodation, so if you want to make a difference and play an active role in changing people’s lives, look no further.

Funded through the Public Health Housing Support Grant , working alongside other Tenancy Support Workers you will engage, build trust and motivate residents. Working in partnership with a range of statutory and voluntary sector partners, you will maximise opportunities for early intervention and homeless prevention, delivering a holistic, multi-disciplinary package of specialist housing and tenancy support.

You will be providing housing advice, guidance, and housing related support to ensure that individuals are able to successfully maintain their accommodation or find alternative suitable accommodation as required. Ultimately your intervention will help to improve recovery outcomes and avoid homelessness.

With a minimum of two years relevant work experience in a customer focused environment you will also have excellent communication skills and be a skilled negotiator and problem solver. This is a busy role, in a fast paced environment so the successful candidate will also need to be able to meet deadlines, prioritise their workload, and work as part of an incredible team.

The role will be based full time in the office across North Northamptonshire.
