About the role

The role is an Attendance and Inclusion Coordinator within the Virtual School.  

The Virtual School is a team of experienced teachers and dedicated educational professionals. We promote and support the educational attainment and progress of Northamptonshire's children in care and children previously in care. 

The successful Attendance and Inclusion Coordinator will be working within a small team inside the Virtual School called the VS Enablers.

What will you be doing?

You will be using systems and reports to enable the Virtual School to monitor and track all children in care in terms of admissions, attendance, absence and exclusions and for those children missing education or in receipt of alternative provision. You will work with the other enablers to ensure that Virtual School systems and processes run effectively so that the Virtual School can function and carry out its duties. 

About you

We are looking to recruit a forward-thinking person who works well in a team. You will need to have advanced knowledge of IT systems such as Excel and be able to handle large data sets with accuracy. You must be able to use data to produce information reports for managers and the wider Virtual School team. You will need to have excellent communication skills and have experience of building good working relationships. You must be able to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.  

Where you will be working: 

The VS Enablers’ working pattern in the week includes working from home and some days working from our office at ONE Angel Square, Northampton. The successful Attendance and Inclusion Coordinator would work the same pattern as the other VS Enablers.
