About the role
An exciting new role at North Northamptonshire Council within the Housing Solutions Service, the Accommodation Services Manager will be responsible for the overall development, co-ordination, delivery and performance of a high-quality temporary accommodation service, and our fantastic in-house supported housing projects.
Through various procurement/funding initiatives you will ensure there is adequate supply of cost effective, suitable temporary accommodation for allocation to meet the Councils’ statutory homelessness duties. The post holder will also need to ensure that all accommodation meets the required standards, that residents are appropriately supported to sustain and move on from their placements, and further opportunities are explored to reduce the cost and use of temporary accommodation.
You will work alongside a Single Homelessness Manager, a Housing Advice and Options Manager and a Housing Allocations Manager to ensure that there is effective joined up working across the service area and with a wide range of internal teams and partner services and organisations.
To succeed in the role, you must have demonstrable experience of improving housing services, including performance and budget management. We are looking for someone who is a tenacious problem solver, who can think and act strategically and work in a collaborative partnership approach.
The role will require the post holder to operate across the North Northamptonshire area.
If you wish to discuss the position further, please contact Emma Forbes (Head of Housing Solutions) on 07825 627009.
