About the role

This role will require successful candidates to carry out tree and shrub planting, pruning and felling of trees, stump grinding and scectional dismantling and responding to emergencies as a result of extreme weather.

Operating council vehicles and machinery it is essential that the post holder adheres to all relevant health and safety requirements at all times.

Reuirement to provide other general tasks consitent with the responsibilities of a gardener.

What will you be doing?

To carry out arboricultural work across NNC tree stock including implementation of planting schemes and to assist in any other duties within the grounds services operations.

Tasks will include tree climbing, operation of chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, diggers and other tasks associated with tree management.

About you

You will have previous experience in arboriculture, tree climbing and NPTC CS 30 & 31.

You will be interacting with a wide variety of people on a daily basis and will need to be self motivated, being required to work on your own initiative, follow schedules and written instructions and possess excellent customer service skills.

A full driving licence is required for this role.
