About the role
A new opportunity has arisen to work within the Safer Communities Team to lead on all Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence related matters. We are looking for an individual who has extensive skills and knowledge in developing and implementing a broad work programme within a partnership approach and is passionate to reducing domestic abuse and sexual violence.
What will you be doing?
You will lead for the Council and Community Safety Partnership in all matters related to domestic abuse, sexual violence and violence against women and girls. Develop and support the delivery of North Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Partnership Board's Domestic Abuse Strategy and ensure provision of services meet the needs of the clients. To lead on coordinating the domestic abuse statutory functions and Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHR's). To develop and maintain robust working relationships with statutory, VCS and private sectors including working on cross borough issues.
About you
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in writing and implementing partnership plans, developing and delivering action plans, compiling data and performance reports and coordinating a range of communication and publicity campaigns. You will be highly motivated and can develop and implement a range of plans, projects and other activities to reducing domestic abuse and sexual violence. You will be able to juggle a demanding workload with minimal supervision and be proactive in seeking out best practice in this area of work. Ability to be a team player, positively contributing to corporate and partnership priorities, flexible and adaptable. Working positively with colleagues across the organisation and with external partners to build trusting relationships including senior officers and Elected Members.
