About the role
The position is based on a 37-hour week, including weekends, worked on a rota basis; however flexibility will be essential, particularly over the summer months and leading up to and during competitions and large society events.
The Golf Assistant is to undertake general supervision of the Golf Course Club house facility on a daily basis under the management of the Golf Course Leisure Manager to ensure that the site is well kept throughout the golfing season, helping to deliver a high quality experience for all visitors.
What will you be doing?
Key Roles and Responsibilities include;
- Supervising the operation of the facility ensuring that duties and activities are carried out in accordance with the facilities Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
- Ensuring the security of the building (including opening and locking up duties) and safeguarding of the property of the Council.
- Comply with the Councils Health and Safety Policy. To help ensure compliance with Health and Safety and other mandatory guidelines and legislation.
- Cover reception duties, cashing up and accounting of all monies received in accordance with the Councils Financial Rules.
- Ensure the building and surrounding area is clean and tidy throughout the shift undertaking any additional work as required by the Leisure Manager.
- Undertake bookings as required liaising with Catering team ensuring all bookings/arrangements are communication efficiently.
- The carrying out of all cleaning tasks, both internal and external as per the facilities cleaning procedures and maintain cleaning stores in accordance with COSHH regulations and general housekeeping standards.
About you
Priors Hall Golf Course, managed and operated by North Northamptonshire Council is searching for a highly motivated Golf Assistant to join their dedicated team.
As a Golf Assistant you will be responsible for producing excellent standards of customer service and quality of work to help deliver any excellent golf course and facility, admired by both club members and pay and play customers in the surrounding area and further afield.
Successful applicants will also be willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends on a rota basis and be willing to undertake any relevant training.
Knowledge of golf or an interest in golf is desirable but not essential, with the right candidate having a passion for working in the leisure industry being important.
