About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Safeguarding Provider Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Principal Social Worker with substantial experience and knowledge of safeguarding to join our friendly team.
This role involves the day-to-day prioritisation of safeguarding referrals and safeguarding case management, using Making Safeguarding Personal and working in partnership with providers and other stakeholders to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of our citizens.
You will also be providing staff supervision, undertaking duty on a rota basis, and working within key legislation such as The Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
There is an expectation for you to be in the office one day a week.
What will you be doing?
We are looking for someone who is a team player with creative problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise and work under pressure alongside the Team Manager . You will receive regular supervision and support from the Team Manager.
Your role will also be key in helping shape our services and the team.
There is an expectation for you to be in the office at Haylock House, Kettering at least once a week.

- Experience of working with individuals
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014
- Communication and IT skills
- Ability to prioritise and risk assess
- Ability to work to deadlines
Please note you must have a Social Work qualification for this role.
