About the role
We are looking for an enthusiast person to join North Northamptonshire Council as a Public Transport Officer. Sitting within the Highways service of our Place & Economy directorate, the role forms part of our Transport Strategy team. Working with our transport planners and sustainable transport officers, you will be part of the council’s team dealing with public transport matters.
What will you be doing?
As part of the team working to improve bus and rail services for North Northamptonshire’s residents, you will focus on the analysis of performance information, the maintenance of national public transport databases and dealing with enquiries regarding the issue of concessionary bus passes for older and disabled residents.
About you
With a good standard of education, you should have experience of working in a busy office environment along with good written and verbal communication skills and experience of data processing and analysis. An understanding of the bus industry would be useful but not essential.
