1 Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QTOD) 1 FTE
Commencing 22 April 2025
We are seeking to appoint a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (or skilled teachers/SENCo’s willing to train) to provide specialist support and advice for teachers in mainstream and special schools.
The position is permanent and under the NNC Centrally Employed Teacher’s Pay and Conditions. Teachers Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale + SEN allowance (dependent upon successful applicant holding the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of the Deaf). It is a full time position, working Monday to Friday as per Teacher Pay and Conditions.
What will you be doing?
This is an exciting and interesting opportunity for committed and motivated teachers to join a Sensory Impairment Service which delivers support to children and young people with a vision and/or hearing impairment. Our aims are to enable children’s learning, access and successful inclusion through delivery of high quality specialist support and advice to schools; direct specialist teaching, joint working with other professionals. As well as advice and support for parents/carers of pupils with a Sensory Impairment.
About you
A Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of the Deaf is required however, the team will consider applicants who are willing to undertake the specialist training qualification.
