Are you highly organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service? North Northamptonshire Council is looking for a Repairs Planner to join our Housing Maintenance and Development team based at Fleming Road Depot in Corby and Robinson Way Depot in Kettering. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for scheduling and coordinating planned and responsive maintenance works to ensure our residents receive a timely and efficient service.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch appointments for planned and responsive works using our in-house system to maximise efficiency.
- Match operatives’ skillsets with appropriate tasks to support a “one call” repair service.
- Liaise with tenants to confirm appointments and manage expectations.
- Work closely with stores, customer services, tenancy services, and repairs officers.
- Monitor and adjust daily schedules to ensure appointments are met and delays are minimised.
- Produce weekly performance and progress reports for management.
About you

- Experience in scheduling, planning, or coordination roles (preferably in housing or repairs).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Competence in using scheduling or housing management systems.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
