About the role

The Business and Performance function sits within Commissioning and Partnerships division of Children’s Services. The function provides impartial and objective support for Children’s Services including education, SEND, Early Years, Family Hubs, as well as analysis of Northamptonshire Children’s Trust and its delivery of children’s social care services.

What will you be doing?

  • This post is designed to deliver business intelligence and insight for the business to enable evidence based decisions, improve cost effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • The post holder will play a key role in delivering performance and intelligence reports to the business.
  • The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring statutory reporting obligations are met to a consistently high standard.
  • The post holder will support the Performance Information Officer with their day-to-day tasks.

About you

The ideal applicant will be:

  • Experienced in collating, analysing and presenting information to a range of audiences.
  • Skilled at operating effectively with people at a range of levels.
  • Able to think strategically and to solve problems with innovative solutions.
  • A good communicator and able to influence and challenge others.
  • Possess excellent numerical, written and verbal skills and be able to communicate complex issues to all audiences.
  • Skilled in ICT and be able to co-ordinate and prioritise their workload.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and preferably Power BI) to an advanced level.
