What will you be doing?

The Household Support Fund team provide a range of support to meet the needs of families and individuals in crisis. Through direct support and working with local organisations and voluntary groups to offer help and support in more practical ways. 

Your main focus will be on delivering the Household Support Fund through various channels, to building strong partnerships with agencies and services to support people with the cost of living crisis.  As well as being an active participant within the service, ensuring that individuals and families in crisis receive additional support and are signposted to our partner agencies for that longer term help. 

About you

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Administrator with drive, initiative and confidence.  Reporting to the Household Support Fund Team Leader you will help to distribute the fund through various schemes in delivering support and help to our customers across North Northamptonshire. This is a role which will require you to work with directorates throughout the Council and beyond, including community groups and organisations, and voluntary sector partners. 

As the successful candidate, you will bring: 

  • experience of understanding the difficulties faced by customers in crisis
  • excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • have outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • possess an abundance of drive and determination

It would also be nice for you to have: 

  • experience of communicating with customers, from a broad range of backgrounds
  • experience of working within public sector and working with community groups and organisations, as well as voluntary sector partners.

Where you will be working: 

The team will be based in Kettering working from Sheerness House.
